Portion sizes and pricing swing widely across this group, from a $10 lunch bowl to a multi-course tasting menu at an upscale sushi counter, so checking recent reviews and photos is more useful than the price range alone. In Torrance, dinner reservations for popular izakaya, hot pot and Korean BBQ spots fill up on Friday and Saturday nights, so booking ahead or arriving at opening is worth it. Many restaurants across California run daily lunch specials on weekdays that are not listed on the dinner menu, so it is worth asking. Halal, vegetarian and gluten-free options vary a lot by kitchen; call ahead if you have a dietary restriction rather than assuming the menu will note it.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. The most common schedule is 9 am–8 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. I have been coming to Saigon Eatery for years and the service is usually really good and orders placed are usually on time. This year the service has started to go down hill. When the younger kids are working the orders are always late and they always are distracted. Everytime I come in my order isn't ready and they constantly service and take dine in orders a day haven't started on my order. Today I came in for my order and they hadn't started it. The two young men didn't even know a to go order was taken and then told me they ran out of meat for my order (no refund offered). I sat in the restaurant for 15 mins as they served the other customers and took pictures with them holding jerseys before they even started on my order. This is crazy.

Saigon Eatery is one of my favorite pho places in town. It's tucked away in a strip you would only ever visit if you wanted to get a car wash, but it's got some of the best pho broth in town with good portions and a friendly staff. We'll often pick up just a side order of the broth here whenever we want a nice hot soup. It's interior is all right - think a typical pho restaurant, not terrible but mostly function over form. It's not uncomfortable and they keep it clean, so it's good enough. I happened to speak to the owner/manager the last time I picked something up, and he was friendly and seemed interested in improving the store. He also told me that they had changed the broth recipe to something thinner, but had been convinced to switch back. This does worry me that they're trying cost-cutting measures, but to be clear - the food here is excellent, is a great reason to come here, and absolutely should not be skimped on. πŸ˜‰ Getting people in the store and maintaining quality seems like the way to go, from the point of view of a loyal customer. I would say the pho is slightly better than NAM Kitchen on Artesia (while NAM is more expensive but has a nicer interior and a plethora o

Honest review: everything was great, the service, quality of meat but what happened to the broth? The most important thing? It was bland and watered down. The cook acknowledged my concern and admitted management change the recipe and said they would address it. 3 stars until broth is fixed. Was not planning on going back but I will try one more time next week and change the rating based on broth. Good luck 🀞

My go-to order is the garlic noodles with chicken! It is absolutely delicious and flavorful. The portion size is decent, so no worries there! The food is 5-stars, the service is good, and the atmosphere is cozy. Please keep in mind that it is difficult to find parking.
